Todd McCool grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana. He started on viola but traded it for a guitar, ripped his jeans, and began a quest of musical expression. After locking himself in a room for years, he emerged with a 3 piece band called Table Scraps. This band relocated from the Midwest to the west. On their first gig at a Hollywood music venue called The Coconut Teaser, Todd McCool handed a flyer to, and struck up a conversation with, friends of The Syrups, who were also on the bill that evening. Todd talked them all in to sticking around to catch the Table Scraps set. So, there is was, very late on a Tuesday night in Hollywood, the first Table Scraps show was attended solely by The Syrups and their friends. After chatting with Pat Walton about musical similarities, the two became immediate friends, and had a jam session the next week after another show. Table Scraps eventually separated and McCool continued on with The Syrups.  (more)
