Pete grew up in Altadena, CA. Around 9th grade (Pete was sitting in his room blasting Deep Purple), some friends in a band (Sacrilege) called him over; their bass player, an older brother, was leaving town. They put him in a garage, tossed him his first bass, and told him to figure out how to start plucking. Pete was in his first band.

He spent years playing Hollywood's Sunset Strip and crazy backyard parties with other local bands out of Pasadena, California, including Zillion, Undercroft, Melee and Anthony. And he’s still plucking the same Rickenbacker, the first bass he ever bought, for The Syrups.
