Brother Kevin also asked him to join his brainchild project, "Anthony", and Paddy was honored. After Kevin's tragic death, "Anthony", was reformed with Pete Shair, current Syrups bassist, as tribute to his memory.

Paddy also had a good run with local Arcadia bands, Gooey Duck, Eleni Pilar, Corn on the Cob, and The Insultors. Thereafter, he formed, "The Pat Walton Band", and asked youngest brother, Ryan Walton, to join in on backing vocals.

In 1998, at the World Famous Whiskey A Go Go, he announced a name change on stage, that we would forever be known as, "The Syrups"!
